Just thought it should be posted again...
I showed it to him unstrung last night at church and he said, "Wow."
Nice one. I often find it helps if you make a note to call them a week or so down the line to check everything is still OK. I suppose you see this guy every week so no need for that. It does help though because little niggles can be dealt with promptly and pro actively that way.

Yeh after a few years it will wear in. The rule of thumb with those is that the more pressure the coarser the cut, light pressure gives you a fine cut. If you use it to sharpen other tools (no harm in doing so they are pretty indistructable) it will become soother and finer after a while. Avoid using it on aluminum. Use water as a carrrier, never oil.That Dia-Sharp stone makes fast work of nickel-silver.
Would you act the same way in real life - without the cloak of internet anonymity? If so you would find your customers dissapearing rather rapidly.
Oh, and APL, it's not that I won't suffer those who disagree with me. What I don't suffer is people giving advice as though they are experts when in fact they have no idea what they are talking about.
