Ok,
So I'm building a semi-professional home studio, But I am stuck on buying an interface.
Computing power isn't an issue, I have a new decked out imac with Logic/Protools/Ableton/Cubase etc... (mainly use logic and protools)
I just need a somewhat cheap, but good firewire interface with good preamps.

Any suggestions would be fantastic.

I've been looking into. but am no way set on/sure about a couple;
the Phonic Firefly 808, The Focusrite Saffire Pro 40, Or if i need to spend more cash to get something decent, the Lexicon FW810s.
Know anything about these?, or remember, anything else is welcome. preferably in this price range, unless you advise me otherwise.
I want to get something i won't have to replace anytime soon.

Thanks so much.

the profire 2626 is nice as well. I had the phonic helix but gave that to my brother. not a bad little unit and easy to work with.
