Hi,
During our stay in Milan, while wandering around the great museum of Castello Sforzesco, I finally found the Musical Instruments Museum, which I had looked for but couldn't find a few years ago because of shortage of time. The exhibiton consisted of mostly historical instruments, but in a far corner I was surprised to have found a recording studio setup... Wow, the units carried familiar features and tags describing their purpose, but they were very far from what we are used to today. I managed to record some video and some snapshots, obtained two sheets of information leaflets, thinking this could be a good new thread in homerecording.com...!
Here are some media...
The info sheets (the URL's are given for larger images that can be read)

The studio of RAI:
First, the forefather of modern synthesizers:
The brown round object can be a microphone? And check the metal ashtray on the left..
The oscillators, filters, envelope and amps..
Control desk:
Contemporary studio of Rigel :
I guess this depicts how far we have come since those days.
Thanks for looking...
