I've worked out a way to set the bias traps.

the reason the multimeter shows no change when adjusting the traps is because the MM is not read small enough amouts of voltage. so if you rig up a the MM probes to the input of a level meter (on your pc or whatever) it will show a level that you can adjust.

does that make sense?
My comunications skills aren't great when it comes to writing so you'll have to bare with me

I suspected that might be the problem.

I think I follow though;

are you are saying to connect the test point to my pc sound card instead of the Multimeter? or to both in series? have you tried this yet?

yeah, connect it to your sound card only. I have tried it and it seems to work ok so far. I've just finished a calibration but havn't done a recording yet so i'm not sure how successful i've been yet

-60db ish. I think you just need to get it as low as it will go.

If i undrstand it right, the bias sends out a signal of say 100khz, and the trap filters it out again. Just guessing mind, but it's doesn't really matter anyway;)

i've just had a go at recording some stuff and it seems i'm gonna have to go back and do another setup. It's not great at the moment but it's getting better. I think it'll take a few goes before i get it right.

the eq is a bitch!
