Hey Tim! :)

I haven't got around to it BUT will check first thing Tuesday and report back ... Stay tuned! ;)

Thanks for the follow up! :)

Daniel

UPDATE: the RC-70 is working fine with the 388! All functions work quicky and with precision. The 388 doesn't have a "pause" button so obviously that didn't work. ;) All is ok though! Thanks again Tim! Btw, why are you selling your RC-71 ?

Thanks!

Daniel

Glad to know it worked -- I thought they should be the same inside. :)

I just don't use the remote with my portastudio anymore. I used to have a walk-in closet that I converted into a vocal booth, and I would use the remote in there. Even then I didn't use it enough. But since I’ve had the TSR-8 with the RC-408 remote that's all I really use.

I have so much stuff, big and small, I don't use anymore I just have to get it out of the house. Either that or get a bigger house. Not to mention this is only one of too many hobbies and interests. Seriously and I’m not trying to be funny here, but sometimes I wish I was a simpler person and didn’t know so much about so many things. :D I don’t have the time or the space.

I remember when there was so much stuff I wanted and didn't have. Now I have the opposite problem -- too many effects, too many keyboards, too much tape, gadgets and accessories of every kind, etc, etc. It’s actually become an impediment to making music – imagine that? ;)

Oh shit! That's exactly my world too!! Word for word, you pretty much nailed it! WOW! That's like reading my own thoughts on the subject ..

I used to record to a regular cassette deck with a cheap ass mic and mixer which used 1/8" mic inputs, if you can believe .. and so by the very nature, my whole gear setup was so simple all I could do was find creative ways to make my music and 99% of that time was spent on that ..... Very little and cheap, rudimentary recording equipment ... and then thinking back, now that I have all the gear I dreamed about before, there is something to be said about really missing that "simple" way of doing things and not having so much gear ... That's really troubling, that state of mind, 'cause I have all I ever wanted and yet I feel so "weighed" down at times with all this shit load of gear! And yet when I sell something I feel that "weight" comes off my shoulders but then I start to miss what I had sold ... What's going on here ?

You may have a bit of the Irish in your ancestry. :D

What's really bad is I even buy accessories in anticipation of buying something that I don’t have yet. I bought some 1/4" 10 1/2" reels of tape some time ago because I was going to buy a Tascam 32. I got a great deal on a 22-2 instead and was so impressed with the performance that I'm not planning on getting any other half-tracks. So I've sold off some off the tape.

I even have ammunition for firearms I don’t have – another hobby. Can’t sell that on eBay though. I’m trying to trim down my arsenal as well.

Then there’s alternative energy, wind generators, solar panels and such – batteries and cables all over the garage -- the half of the garage that is not the gymnasium/karate dojo. No my car won’t fit in there anymore.

Oh, and my library with rare books and new books on everything imaginable – mostly theology, history, religions, and social science with some conservation and natural science thrown in for good measure. That fills one room.

Oh yeah, almost forget, I have a job – computers – networking parts and pieces of every kind routers, switches wireless devices all over the place.

Almost forgot about ham radio too -- well, I'm kind of getting out of that, but I still have radios, antennas, scanners, shortwave, etc.

If I throw something away I often find I need it later. What to do?

I’m a packrat anyway. ;)
