Help with Effect Send/Return

I have a DBX 163 Comp and and Alesis Midiverb that I want to connect to my mixer. I am mixing on a Tascam M208. My mixer has 2 effects sends and one return. Would anyone kindly help me with how to connect the processors into the mixer properly? Thanks a lot.

Why not look in your mixer's manual? Or, get on line and ask the company who made the mixer?

It's only a matter of plugging in some 1/4 inch cables "in" and "out."

I learned that from Blue Bear in one of his posts; to paraphrase:

"What goes in must come out."

compressor plugs in via inserts...with an insert (Y) cable
the Midiverb plugs into the Aux sends/returns. Send means "send to processor" and return means "return from processor". So out of aux send to Midiverb, and out Midiverb to Mixer.
