Hi, I have a Lynx Hilo 2 and I'm trying to set up an external hardware insert with a Black Box Analog Design HG-2. I use FL Studio and connect the Hilo 2 to my computer via Thunderbolt.
My studio setup is:
Neumann U87 → Neve 1073 → Tube-Tech CL 1B → Hilo 2
Adam Audio A8H monitors connected to the Hilo 2 monitor outputs. I also have a rok box pc..
I want to use the Black Box HG-2 as external analog processing for vocals, guitars, and sometimes my stereo mix..any help would be appreciated

First off FL Studio currently lacks a dedicated Hardware Insert option ,making it complicated to use outboard equipment like compressors and EQs - so there is no way to insert the Black Box Analog Design HG-2 that way - you would have to put it in line - after the compressor would be my choice.

Actually I'm just wanted to use hg2 unit just for adding it to the mix bus and printing the wet signal back into fl studio..I've seen people using outboard gear on YouTube using fl studio...but honestly what's confusing to me is the routing settings within lynx hilo 2 via touch screen

FL doesn't have inserts to physical outputs - so I don't think you can do it .

I do not know that stuff.

I went my first 2 years with a USB interface and didn't know I had a sound driver error. It said it installed correctly. So I used it. There was problems so I was never happy with it.

Then I got a used 6i6 from GuitarCenter. Same thing. I took my new laptop with REAPER to the store salesman. He found a driver error that prevented it from using ASIO correctly. The soundcard was refusing to shut off. The kid solved my laptop issue in 10 minutes. I was a total mess for 2 years and watched every youtube video. mine didnt sound like that..etc.
