hi, i've been using my roland mv-8000 for a while now to make beats. recently i have gotten a AT4040 mic and a ART TPS 2 pre-amp. so far i havent been able to get it to work. i dont know if the mic is getting power, or if i have the right cord for the mic. the one i have has a standard mic end, and on the other side it has a regular mic plug, i've seen other mic cords with both sides having the standard mic end and was wondering if thats what the problem is, i can use any help including how to hook it all up and what to get for it.
