I'm new to recording and having some propblems with my digital recorder. it's a boss br-532 and i want to record rap with it. i want to know how to use the v tracks and how to copy and paste. for example when i say the hook instead of just sayin the hook over and over, how do i just copy the take i want and repeat it so it sounds professional. I also want to know how to make my vocals sound better. it has a built in compressor that you can edit the gains and all that stuff and also eq, de-esser, delay, ect. so i'm asking what levels should i record irecord vocals at to have it sit in the mix like the the pro's. anybody that has had experience with this machine, or just anybody who knows what i'm thaking about can u please help.

heres a link to see it. http://bossus.com/index.asp?pg=1&tmp=86

Mad Flows,

Let me see if i can help you . to copy a section of song use your dial on the right hand side to move the measures along and the a-b repeat button to get both ends of the part you want to copy . so that you have it in a loop that starts exactly were you start rappin. the go to the utility button on the top right and go to edit track(you do this by pressing the directional arrows just below the lcd screen.)once you get to that one press the enter button( make sure your not editing song) from there just follow prompts
v tracks are you used to try different things with , like if you layed down a solo on v-1 which is what you start with v1-1 v2-1 v3-1 v4-1 and drum, now if you layed down a guitar part on v1-2 and wanted to try something else there with out erasing it you would move down under that to v1-2 and you would record with out loosing v1-1 and you could toggle back and forth, just give it time and you will get these buttons down, just takes time. i hope that this helped. Have any other questions. I'll help all i can!!!
