help me please with this vocal booth type ??

this may be super dumb question but....Lets say i have like 600-700 dollars...is there a vocal booth i can buy that is somewhat like this

or is there somewhere i can just buy the wood build and then put the foam and acoustic treatment my self...or would it be easier to hire some handyman to build it.. or something...and if built that does anyone have a rough idea of how much all the supplies would be...sorry i cant go to home depot to check iam in bed for 6 wks, jut had surgery but i want to build i by my bday which is comin up so im just kinda wondering about supplies and the cost if i did hire someone...rather not tho...

Wow - that link is interesting. Looks like they are about $190 per square foot.

For what it's worth, I converted a closet into a vocal booth. There are no windows of course, but those are not mandatory. I just installed some sound absorbing foam on the walls and put a low-pile carpet rug on the floor and I get very good results.

I installed a 'post-construction' box in the wall and put blank outlet covers on each side. I drilled holes thru these blank plates to snake my wires (mic cable & headphone cable) thru the wall.

This may sound cheesy but it actually looks very good - and I did it in such a way that I can easily put it back like it was in case I sell my house. No one would ever know it used to be a vocal booth.

I did all of this for less than $150. I guess I was lucky that the closet was big enough for this purpose (4 x 5). It's just the right size.

Anyway - it doesn't have to be fancy - as long as it gets you the results you are looking for.

I don't understand these posts. small rooms sound like crap.

why waste your money?
 
The only time I would consider using a small vocal booth would be for recording spoken narration.....maybe.
