Hello China

I liked your post.

You pointed out something that is missing in the marketplace. And, it's something fairly obvious.

This whole quality and origin thing gets overblown. I've heard more crappy recordings made at commercial facilities with $2k Neumann mics than bad ones made in some guy's extra bedroom with a $200 Rode NT1. However, give me 20 years and I might tell you otherwise.

I hate it that all these jobs are being exported overseas. I'd rather all these companies invest in Mexico rather than China if they are not going to invest in the USA. Companies say they can't make an item in the USA b/c of costs. How do they explain G&L? G&L makes guitars on Fender Ave. in Fullerton, CA. The prices are very reasonable. It can be done.

Well,
i rather think it's a good thing that this stuff is made in China (or Ukraine, or Latvia or wherever) because in the long run it will make their wages go up, and the american wages go down. And some time in a distant future you will all make about as much money as we do in Sweden. :D

Basper- Dont worry, we're probably getting closer than you think :p

I didnt mean to imply that if something was made in China it was guaranteed to be crap. But if something is mass produced it is guaranteed to have a lower quality. That is a fact of manufacturing.

Whether it's enough of a difference to the untrained ear is the question.
