Okay, I have almost everything. The SONAR came, the LX6 came, the pc is coming. I've never done any of this stuff. So it say's to ground myself when installing the card by touching one of the PCI slots? Or the metal chassis? Weird stuff. What do I do, just hold my finger on something while I stick the thing in there and tighten the screw? Help!

Just make shure the computer is not connected to the outlet, and just touch the chasis. Done! :)

And do not place the PC on a carpet when open!

Just touch your computer cover, Have you ever seen the way they install these PCI cards in computer companies? Don't worry about static or anything just put your card in the slot, so that screw can allign with the hole and push it in. Tighten the screw and you are ready to go ;)

Or you can strap some metal point to your body, and then attach a cable to the chassis so you're stay ground.

I have one of those, but it's not home made I got mine with a puchase of a motherboard awhile ago. Would have bought one anyway, always installing PC stuff and I'm paranoid.

But yeah, if possible don't stand or touch carpet while installing it. I have, I just chouch the chassis of the case inside and then try and be as motionless as possible and be as if my arms and hands installing the card are independent from my body.

Chances you'll actually screw up a component is pretty slim, but it's very possible.
