who do you think is the better drummer dave grohl or the drummer from disturbed.

I don't think it would sound bad, but the difference between a drum mix when hit replacement hardware/software is used is pretty big. The sound of the queens of the stone age is very sample/triggered sounding. Not that its worse, it just doesn't sound like pure drums. I would guess 50% of major label/radio/MTV music released today doesn't even have a drummer ever enter the session. On the other 50% of songs 49% of them have drum tracks that have been triggered to some extent besides some jazz (real jazz, not that light jazz elevator music shite)

I can tell a good drummer based on the parts he creates and his timing... Triggers, would never affect that judgement....
