OMFG..............DUDE.........DID I SAY ANYWHERE TO GO BUY THE DAMN THINGS? NO. AM I FORCING ANYONE WITH A GUN TO THEIR HEAD TO GO BUY CABLES? NO. DO I CARE WHAT THE HELL YOU THINK? NO DO I TAKE IN ACCOUNT YOUR OPINION OF THEM AND IF THEY'RE WORTH WHILE YES. YOU'RE MAKING IT SOUND LIKE MONSTER IS OWNED BY ME AND I WANT EVERYONE TO BUY THEM.......(IF THESE CABLES DO TURN OUT TO BE A JOKE THEN THATS WHAT THE GOOD OLE RETURN POLICY IS FOR) NO ONE IS GETTING CHEATED HERE OR EVERY WOULD BE. Hi guys!- Its been a real treat listening to you all at each others throats- good times- by the way im not agreeing with either one side but i do have a hard time with the "superioirity" of "time aligned cables" but as far as them being useless- i wouldnt say that- not useless- just probably not a damn bit different than any other cable of the same gauge and shielding and connector

I've done plenty enough cable tests to know damn sure that cables make a large difference in microphone applications.

And a popular and much more cranky-than-blue-bear professional around these parts performed blind tests with the monster shit vs. Mogami, Canare, Belden, etc, and the Monster won hands down.

It might be bullshit, it might not be. People cry bullshit about a lot of things around here and quite often they're dead wrong.

You know, zallen, you are single handedly reinforcing my already strongly held opinion that, not only is Banjo Mart NOT (as you said in another thread) the shit, but that their employees don't know shit.

Let me try to explain this to you. Mogami and Canare cable is designed to take advantage of well established, well researched, electronic concepts. They improve the sound by using science to make the cable transmit electricity better.

Monster cable is designed to sound impressive on paper to people who do not know anything about electronics. They take advantage of people’s ignorance and an extremely large marketing department to sell as much cable as possible, for as much money as possible.

To sum up, Mogami (which is what I use) and Canare make better cable, and sell it for a reasonable cost. Monster sells mediocre cable for obscene prices.

I know this from having used both, and because I have studied electronics and audio, both in school and in studios. I have listened to Monster, and I have listened to Mogami. Mogami sounds so much better, that it is not even a contest.

Until you have actually learned ANYTHING about audio, do us all a favor and shut the hell up. Working at a mediocre retail store does not qualify you to teach ANYBODY, ANYTHING, about audio.

Sweetnubs is an arrogant prick, and I disagree with many of his opinions, but at least he has opinions of his own, Based on experience. He is not just spewing out the marketing hype of a company whose business practices are only slightly better (and only just barley more legal) than MCI/WorldCom. Not to mention that there R&D department is run by a snake oil salesman.

Well, Light, a few short hours ago i would have completely agreed with you. Just as I would have laughed my ass off at Tex's post. But now I realize, that by debating issues we are all just "haters", badly in need of growing up. Once we grow up, we will realize that Zallen can make as many flip humorous statements on a thread as he wants, because, after all, he's a highly trained Guitar Center salesman. And we should realize it's a privilege if he shares his finely honed wit with us poor slobs. However, as non-guitar center employees the rest of us are clearly not qualified to "try this at home". So c'mon folks... respect the Z.!!! After all, he is the future of our industry. (How do I know? He said so!)

I think it was the capital letters. All those years listening to loud music... we all know it affects our hearing. But I think I've just discovered it affects our ability to read and comprehend lower case letters as well. Once Zallen expressed himslef in all-caps, I was able to see the light. (no, not you Light)

as always, i am honored you would spare some of your precious time and wisdom in giving me such insightful and valuable criticism. while clearly my posts are far beneath yours in both humor, good spirit, and valuable content, i will certainly try and live up to your shining example in the future... :cool:

why don't you debate this with slackmaster since he was the one that said what was better and what wasen't...............I didn't say anything about what brand kicked whatever brands ass anywhere. You all assume to much, and to assume is the mother of all F'ups.
