I think this thread is over. I have watched these guys give excellent advice from their many years of experience and evolving as well as trial and error. I take their word as gospel when i need advice. Some noob with zero experience signs up and challenges anyone to prove his obsession of what "hair metal" must sound like ... I suggest you not take any advice, buy whatever you like and go for it. Then you can listen to 30year old music like it was ment to be... on a worn casette or even a (gasp) 8track tape. Give it a rest, sign off and no need to ever come back. We'll be gone by the time you perfect your style.

Nope, I'm not a "ITB" advocate at all, although I use Reaper and I guess I'd be considered Hybrid, as they say. Any way I can help?
