Aw shucks. :D

I am no idol. Idols are successful... I am invisible.

#4...I posted around 4am..it is gone
I listened about 15xs.....
I really like this one JAZZ!!!! It is closest to #1 on the vocals! Lots of emotion projected.
The guitar is not battling with the vocals. :)
It sounds like a good job of mixing them.
You know how partial I am to #1, and I don't think ya can outdo yourself on it...but with that said.....This one is becoming a favorite also.
I noticed a few flats, but not near the ones on #3. Man I hate saying negative things about this song.
The inflections on vocals are much closer to #1. Your Chorus' kick!!! with emotion.
The flavour change at 2:10 is a good thing.
You go into an awesome emotional power change at 2:50.

I still am not experienced with these things, so it is mostly instincts, and emotional reaction, that I am feeding off of.
It sounds like you did a good job on this one except for minor issues.

I do want to add something you or no one else may have noticed.
As I listened, I closed my eyes, and let the tune envelop me. It felt as though you were right in the room singing. How'd you do that???
BTW....the listen times has gone up to 18. But #1 has around 100!

Thanks for the honest help True.
18 times! Wow! Thats almost 1/10th of how many times I had to listen to it... and that gave me a headache!
Yes, there are still a few flats that I intend to fix tomorrow (hasten the day... its my day off!) when I can go back and re-record those small parts.

Thanks for the help everyone... I shall be back when I am back when I am back..... and so on and so forth...

Thanks!

~Jazz

You're sure...
You are not now, nor have you ever been a member of a band that rhymes with "poo poo walls"?

Nice song, nice singing.

Good job Johny.... errr Jazz :D

Seriously, I was just walking through town singing this, and my mate asked "What are you singing?" I was like, "its this totally amazing song off a music forum", he was like "sounds cool".

Time to listen again. :p

I think everyone in my house wants to unplug my PC speakers!!! Not because they think it a bad song..they are just tired of hearing it. The 100x's is not far from true for the #1 one!!! I guess I have obsessive listening habits! :D
But I can't stop.

Yup, it just keeps looping, round and round. I can't bring myself to hit the stop button.

Hey Jazz, do you have the guitar playing twice, one slightly offset? Or do you have some kind of stereo rotate going on?

Wow! I got a bunch of people to say stuff all at once! Me like!

Cellar, I have no idea what you are talking about! :D

Sammy, I played the acoustic parts twice (always use a metronome!) and miked them up with one LDC mic about 8" away from the guitar's neck/body joint. I thought it sounded ok at the moment and was too tired to do anything else, so I just hit record.

Thanks for the comments everyone!
I am recording the bass part for it right now! (not typing at the same time... yet)

Whoa bass - Jazz - I hope you don't mind but I have been passing it on to some friends. As you may not have noticed, I am impressed ;)

I don't really like the bass in all honesty. I don't think it fits in that well... seems to be a bit of a distraction.

JAZZ....Lets fantasize for a second(I do that a lot).

I am a talent scout for a big-name Record label(don't we wish)

You have just recorded a song 3xs too many, because they signed you on...............

Thirteen days ago AFTER listening to the #1 recording I presented them with  ;)

And that IS my final answer. :D

If only....

Where are those scouts when you need them? :D

I am saying nothing new as far as loving the song...great tune and what a great, unbridled vocal melody...very soulful and sincere. I could dig the bass only if some drums and electric were to kick in with it. One side of me says it sounds so good as an acoustic-vocal tune, the other half and my preference hears some drums and a little more bass to develop the song on through. Love the song whichever way it goes, and love the sound of the musician behind it.
