Ok, let's see how everyone did.

I picked up the following:

Joe Meek VCQ3 - $49
Oktava 219 - $49
Genesis 3 - $99

The Oktava gets beat up around here but hey, I can use it as an ambiant mic or something.

i hate that place on holidays. i'd rather go on a tuesday night than wait in line with 12-year-olds for prices i could haggle for anyways.

two SM57s - $60 each
one Stedman Popscreen - $35
one MK-4902 keyboard (for my Korg N1R) - $39
two great looking mic cables - $5 ea
six sets of Gibson nickel "John Lennon" strings - $0.99 ea
one t-shirt - free!

FREE T-SHIRTS??? Where the heck was I? Missed that one.

Nice scores, Middleman and Flatpicker. I saw the Oktava tube mics for $199 also. Then I saw some KRK Rokits (I already have some), that sold for $150 each for the past two years, going for $50 each.

My only score, because they got my $200 (DMP3 and MC012) last Friday, was a pair of unbalanced 5' patch cables for $3.50.

GC does have its good points.

BTW, Middleman. The DMP Channel A that I thought had more gain than Channel B was connected to the MXL603s, which has a hotter output than the MC012. I switched back-and-forth between channels to confirm this.

What a dumbshit I am for not noticing the obvious.:D

You get the T-shirt if you were the first 50 boneheads in line. You are not a bonehead, you have no T-shirt. You are not giving GC free advertising.

I feel better now..

CHEESED OUT....

A GC opened down the street from me around 2 mnths ago, so i went there insted of a 45 min ride to the next closest one. They had shit, i think becasue it wasa fairly new store and they didint have shit that was lying around to pump out at low prices.
The only thing i got was this large two sided drum practice pad for $15, regular $30. so that was a good deal.
I allmost got the octavia mic for $50, but ive never heard any great news about them.
