I just bought myself an alesis XT-20 and now i need a lightpipe PCI im thinking Frontier Design Group Dakota because it also has Adat sync.

What do you think???

Any users having success with any other cards in this area?

I personally love my Dakota. When I investigated the solutions, I was most interested in the Layla 24, the Dakota and their lesser versions, the Gina 24 and the WaveCenter/PCI. The Layla was and is around $799, but the Dakota was $399 from www.studiocat.com. I went with the Dakota, and a friend went with the Layla. I still like them both. I just didn't need the Analog inputs and outputs. I have a digital mixer...so why spend the extra money?!

I use a Fostex VM200 mixer (20-bit), Dakota (24-bit), Roland DS-90a speakers (24-bit) and Roland VS-840 (I think 16-bit) along with Cakewalk's Sonar.

The Dakota is a great choice.
