This is probably a stupid question, but which side is the front (the bit you sign into) of the Rode NT2?

The front end (i.e. the business end of the cardioid pattern; NT-2 is multipattern) of side-addressed Rodes have gold dots on them.

Ok, I still dont have a clue which side to sing into the Rode NT2.
I know there are 2 polar pattern settings, one is a full circle which means it will pick up sound in a 360 degree prettty evenly, and the other setting is the one I am wanting to use.

No matter what pattern you use the sound source should be directed at the side of the mic with the gold dot just below the screen, like Kojdogg said

You could always try singing into it to see which side is louder/better/etc.

All mics have a name or an insignia somewhere on the body. Every side address mic, you sing into the side where the name/insignia is.
If you are going to sign, use a video camera.
