Freudian Slip

There have been several threads asking about a "bang for buck" cheap bass. Well In my opinion here it is.

I bought one of these used the other day not knowing what the new retail pricing was. Having never seen a tobias for under around $900.00 sale price I thought I would go for it at $550.00.
It played great (very nice neck if you like them thin) and it had active electronics and a fairly good finish... Any way I beat this guy up on the price bad, He wouldn't even through in strings, telling me they are selling at what they took it in for. They even offered to show me the papers. The store manager came over and commented that they where not making a dime on it?????
Any way it did play great and sounded pretty good too. And after driving for an hour to get there I bought it over some cheaper new basses. Long story short I finaly found this guitar on the net this morning for $270.00 new
I ran for the high blood pressure medication and called G.C. and told them to clear a space on thier rack, I'm on the way. So it ends up they got screwed on the trade in pretty badly.
Anyway none of this takes away from the fact that for $270 this bass is a steal. I would buy one at that in a heart beat. It does play like a $600.00 or more bass.
