Let alone 4 years? Shut your mouth.

But the other 99% of rappers are rapping about the same exact thing that you are. Do something original.

And music is not just about lyrics (at least for some people). Just lyrics is called poems. Poems are about lyrics. Music is about music.

I'm not saying that you suck because honestly I thought you were pretty good. My problem is that it's all been done before. Just another somebody spitting meaningless words out as fast as they can to a beat with their hat turned sideways in the mean time grabbing their crotch which is down at his knees.

First of all...you -can- fake youtube views. You said yourself, 5 views per IP address per day...possibly getting 20-25 buddies to click the link 5 times a day? I'm not saying you did, but don't act like it is some impossible task to do.

Secondly, dastrick has a song he recorded up for consideration on a nationally syndicated radio show...just sayin....

Third, lashing out at people is going to get you nowhere. Every person in the world is not going to like your music. Dastrick doesn't like your rap and thinks it is unoriginal. Does it matter? No. But he has a right to that opinion. I'm sure you'd think my songs were boring because they are of a different genre and, quite honestly, I can't stand rap music... but I'm not gonna cuss you out over it.
 
Whether anyone likes my music or not is irrelevant to me. At least it's not trust-fund-kid wigger rap. :laughings:

To the OP, congratulations on your success, in what ever form it may be! Nice of you to post something inspirational to anyone just joining the forum. Success in many forms, can be achieved with hard work and dedication...and this forum can be one of those tools you use on the journey.

Is there any reason why he's is being attacked? Even if you feel as though he came off as being arrogant in his post, it to me, was meant way more of an inspirational speach telling anyone of many noobs, that if you apply the things you learn here you can achieve success. Isn't that the goal of this forum? Helping people achieve success in thier hobby/profession/passion?
Does it matter if you don't like the genre or you think they aren't original, if they are succeeding in doing what they set out to do, why try to bring them down?
Where's the proof to spawn the faked hype conspiracy? Do you really think he went thru all that trouble to fake the website, youtube videos, reverbnation stuff just to come into this forum and show off.....that's delusional.

And as far as self promotion, there a MANY of you who have self-promoting links in your signature, therefor shamelessly self-promoting yourself every time you post.

....a success story. No matter what you think of the OP, his music, his website, or his personal character, why defile the post with all this garbage? If this irritates you....don't read it. You don't like his video.....don't watch it. Hate his music....don't listen.
But if this inspires one person to really try to learn and get better and achieve some level of success, I really don't see how that could be a bad thing.
 
No offense to anybody but I am still trying to figure out if this isn't a joke. The responses are almost like a caricature, the response to responses like a poorly scripted video about why not to be a hater or something equally banal. Where is this all going? I wonder how many hits Vanilla Ice just got because of this thread. I got just checked and I got 113 today on a site I never advertise and haven't kept up for over a year, that is linked here and there from long ago. I'm not sure what the 'success' mark is. There's as many posts about the post as there are clicking on the link 5 times from each IP address. This worked for tia tequilla though and got her 15 min of fame after she passed a MILLION myspace friends with her irrelevant gak, but i wonder how well he will do in the swimsuit judgeing.

What I meant, is that he posts here like hes a great friend to the site and Noobies. Is he here actually participating and helping noobies that want to know how to plug in a new USB mic, or just makin speaches ? Nothing wrong with him promoting himself, just do it in the marketing thread.
