You Have No Idea.....
I came on here before to let everyone know what a great site this is and how much you can learn from it! This was before I was getting label offers etc and the guy shit talked me saying I was just looking for views on the youtube video I used as an example. But I'm not! I already get shit loads of views so ignore that.

I'm here to let newbs know this site is a great place to learn and do for yourself! If It wasn't for this site I'd probably still be clueless about a lot of stuff as far as mixing and gear goes or wouldn't be as far as I am now mixing wise! So Thanks Homerecording.com

Just take what people say and apply it! Ask tons of questions but most of all just read your ass off! Since I started using stuff I learned on here (Aside from the lyrical skills and song writing abilities I already had) I am #3 in Chicago On reverb nation, number 1 on newartist.com, over half a million views on my youtube and rising and I hold spots on the other 40 sites on I'm. Numerous label offers etc. It's possible to do it on your own! And now professionals are calling me saying they want to Produce my albums. Hard Work Pays off and this is a great site to get it going. I'm also not saying I am near the best at mixing because I'm not! I'm just saying what I learned here helped me a lot... The smart asses AND the professionals all teach you bits and pieces that define your abilities on here.

Good luck learning everyone! Information is the key to success. Tacky but true. I figured I'd show my thanks to the site. This isn't for promotion.. I doubt more than 100 people will read this but anyone who does will now know it's a possibility for them.

Pretty much everything I learned about recording, I learned from this site. I had a rough idea about basic hardware requirements, audio manipulation techniques, and multitracking when I started, but I've learned a hell of a lot about mixing and recording techniques from here, and a lot of those techniques I now apply without thinking about it. I'm pretty happy for the most part with my recordings, and I've had some pretty good feedback.

Just don't go in the cave, it'll erase half of what you've learned. Recording related or otherwise.

I'm also not giving my high teachers any money so don't feel bad lol

I learned everything from one issue of Computer Music Magazine...this place sucks...I only come here for the Tascam forum...

and i aint clicking no youtube links...last time i got an STD

Nothing wrong with shameless self promition, if you want to be successful anywhere at anything you have to be a promotion whore
Just don't get why you feel the need to BS about and pretend you're not just posting to get click throughs to your pages
Both this thread and the one you brought back from the dead from last year do nothing to help anyone but your site traffic numbers and by saying that you're only posting to help others while prominiently posting all your links in the body of the post makes you look pretty disingenous.
Still, they do say there is no such thing as bad publicity, just publicity, so you may be on to something here

Anyone reading this please click to make me more famous here

This way gethypedmusic's claims that here is only posting his links to male eveyone else here more famous, can be legitimate LOL

This should be in the marketing your music or MP3 clinic forums

If I click it twice, will it make you twice as famous as it would if I only click it once? And if I keep clicking it over and over really fast, will you swell in fame and explode like those dudes in the Dig-Dug video game?

I am now far too famous to answer this
I'll have my personal assistant get back to you as soon as there is time in the schedule

I want to name my new band 'schoolgirl' and list it under the genre 'hardcore'. google search for us, make me more famous!

I think it was good post from the Hype. So often we moan about newbies that post a question and are never heard of again or those that huff off in a fit of pique because they don't get what they want or those that make the grand exit with major league speech cataloguing all the woes of HR.com.
Not to mention, no one holds a gun to anyone's head forcing them to click on a link.
It's good to know that people get help here and have the manners and grace to say thank you.
It costs nothing, after all.

The thankyou was an afterthought excuse is, I believe, what people were getting out of that. Why not just come out and say it "here check out this link".

Lots of contributors here provide links.

I think websites like this one are the only places to be. The so-called "pros" tend to be like doctors, following every standard in the book, telling you its gotta be this way or that. I admit there are some basic fundamentals that everyone must follow. Beyond that, it's new ground, or at least it should be. I have a feeling that a large number of "artists" are following the unwritten standards of today, getting the same sounds as the next guy. Not much originality in the biz today IMO. I hope I'm around when that changes and guitarists start learning to play again. Haha. Somebody slap me.

I'm just posting because I heard there were famous people in this thread....
