For all Monitor owners with kids..READ THIS!!
Well I got my new Yorkville YSM1P's and played with them for a day before I had to go out of town. Of course the standing order is to keep my office/studio door shut so my 20 month old doesn't "play" with anything he's not supposed to...great in theory. Of course you can guess the rest-door left open, toddler sees speaker, climbs up on chair and can't resist a poke at the tweeter...
Well my wife sees this and realizes the potential disharmony this may cause so to her credit, she get the vacuum cleaner, puts the hose up close to the tweeter while it's on and "pop", out it comes. It's a silk dome tweeter so no cracking, no distortion, sounds just fine even loud so if anyone has had this happen, give the 'ol vacuum trick a try before firing them off to get fixed, may save you some money...hope this helps.
