And thanks for the kind words in return. Lots of those tunes are from 4 track days and need a re-do, once I get another 24 hours added to each day I might get something done......

Beautiful!

I love the finish and the overall look of the guitar!

What kind of pickups did you go with?

Adam

Nice guitar there JB... but what's with the green alligator thingy creeping into the picture by your right foot...?

Do tell!

Damn! Looks sweet!
A couple of questions... what's the neck angle on it? Headstock angle? Looks like it's barely any. Also, any reason you didn't go with a volute or an actual joint for added strength at the headstock?
Anyway, really nice work and I can't wait to see your next one!

thanks Marshall, tim, and Armistice, the pickups are the Golden Age from Stew Mac. Normal in the neck and an overwound "hot" in the bridge. Darn toys!! a zylaphone i think!LOL the neck angle is three degrees, and i think the headstock angle was ~10-12 deg. It was whatever i could get out of the piece of lumber that i had. One piece seemed to be simpler to make for me, and i think it will be plenty strong.

I was at guitar center today and was looking at some Gibson SG's and i can't believe how light and small they seem to be . I think that is what i want to make next.

Thanks for checkin' it out!

Absolutely gorgeous work of art !! The pattern of the wood grain and the shade of the maple is dazzling

I assume there will be many hours of enjoyment with your new Lady... ;)

Kudos,

Holy crap, you got that neck wood from the garbage at work? Dammit, the only kind of wood i can find is particle board, and even that's scarce.

Awesome, beautiful guitar. When should I expect it to arrive at my house?

Great!

Oh, but it does... I just pity the man that can fit it in the output jack!!! :D

Oooohhh... sweet axe! Makes me look at the tops I've got stacked for "some day".

Man, thats freakin bad ass. Beautiful job. Hell, that looks better than most real LP's. :)

If you have time, I'd appreciate it if you can knock me out a Mosrite Ventures II copy. Thanks in advance. :p

What else can be said. Very cool! I can only imagine the time and research you had to put in to get that thing together.

Looks awsome. Good job! Enjoy it.

thanks again guys for the kind words....i took it to work today and about 5 people played, and two seemed to struggle with it. they said that they weren't used to the size of the neck. it's fairly stout!! but they all said that it sounded great. i took a little Ibanez TB25 and played through it. I have a fender pro reverb at home and it sounds really good through it. I'm working on trying to get something that doesn't sound horrible played and recorded, and then i'll put it up for you guys to hear!

Greg, i don't know what that guitar is, but i'd be happy to knock one out for you....for a small fee! :)

I ordered some templates and parts for my next prject ,(a '61 SG) tonight, so i'll have some pics of that in progress in a week or so....Here I go again!!!!

Man that sounds fantastic. Great job. :)

These are some typical Mosrites - made famous by The Ventures and Johnny Ramone. I'll take one in white with a black pickguard please. :p
