First Attempt

This is my first attempt of recording.

It's terrible I know, we just had to get some stuff layed down to send to two clubs in two that require music in a tangible form before a gig can be had.

Mics? (1) 57, (1) cheap Peavy, (2) sm-58s

Pre? nope!

Drum mix? terrible..not enough bass (instrument)

All this stuff was tracked to a Roland VS840 and mixed down to "Cool Edit"

No mastering, as the tracking and mixing is bad. We're going to use a studio next time.

So rip away!

I'm the drummer btw, and I've only been playing for 2 months from a 6 year haitus! Go easy on my playing!!

I liked Over quite a bit. The mix sounds lightweight. it needs more body to everything....more bass....more kick............more substance to the bottom end. But the song's pretty cool.

Like Me isn't my kind of thing.

Not bad at all for a first attempt. Definately lacking kick/bass and the guitar tone is kinda harsh. Recording is a never-ending learning experience. Save this stuff so you can come back later to see how far you've come.

We have 9 originals now..they follow the same feel as Over..

"over" cOOl Tune!!!!!!!

i really dug the tune!!! real nice energy!! i'll echo the "no ass" feel to the mix. the kick is non exsistent, ( ahh, but you know that already) so why am i rambling??? reading your original post, you already know the prob. good tune!! if you do a remix, POST IT!! i'd like to hear it again!!
