Finally some pics of my studio....

After much revision, my studio setup is finally taking shape. I borrowed a crappy digital camera to take some pictures. The control room (my bedroom) has a very odd shape, so I've tried to treat it as well as possible, keeping in mind that this is a rental unit. The tracking room (my dining room) is a total mess, but I have some pictures of that as well.

Let me know what you think.

"Let me know what you think."

Dunno what I think really. Your pictures make your studio look like an ordinary room with some gear and a few sheets of plywood stuck up in random places. Does that describe it accurately?

They're not just sheets of plywood though, right?

Well, if you had just waited for the rest of the pics... ;)

Anyway, it is an ordinary room, or two ordinary rooms rather. They are not sheets of plywood, but instead bass traps similar to Ethan's design. Back side is 3/4" ply, sides are 1x4's or 1x6's and front is 1/4" ply. There is a piece of 1" 703 suspended inside. And they aren't stuck up in random places exactly either - although they aren't necessarily placed in an ideal arrangement. But besides those details your description is perfect.

Really messy! I hope once mine is done I can keep it clean, but somehow I doubt it. Maybe I'll turn over a new leaf.

Yes, it is a mess, but you should have seen it last week! Anyway, I work better and feel more comfortable in a less sterile enivironment. And I'm only recording myself, so who cares?

I bet the bed wokrs for one big bass trap! :D

Looks like a comfortable private space to me. It is always nice to have your creative space overlap your living space.

The big bummer is that after all that work and not really being able to use the space much yet with school, work, etc. my landlord just sold the building and I have to move out by May 1. Its a good thing the treatments are portable, but I'm not looking forward to hanging the bass traps again.

Maybe you should start packing. Clean that fucker out and get your deposit back.

Looks like there is part of a car stuck in the wall?

No, wait, that's ah, ah, plate?

Where's the cat? What , no cat?

Jus funning!

No, there's a cat named bongo.
