Actually a good melody and chord progression - I reckon it'd be better served with a different arrangemnt & tempo.
The Skate Pop Punk take is REALLY nondescript.
Well recorded & I like the extra bass definition coming into the chorus 1st time - it was a bit MIA before that.

I'm on headphones but it sounds pretty good, I like the solo, you dont often hear good solos on songs like this. I like the clickish kick.

Overall it's good dude:)

I'm downloading them right now, so I will post again with my opinion, but what equipment was used?

I can really understand why you said "poppy with some hardcore influence", the almost breakdown parts on My Promise were really cool.

As far as the mix, I really can't give anything to complain about, the guitars seemed a little too fuzzy to me, but that is just personal preference.

I'd say you really caught the energy of the band, and kudos to you.

hahah funny...i saw them live like last month at that battle of the bands. Great mixes!

Behringer pres, Terratec Phase 88 interface, Cubase SX, lots of freeware plugs, and some Waves plugs.

Mics were:
Kick - D112
Snare - 57(with Andy Sneap snare sample mixed under)
Toms - 57(completely replaced with samples of mine)
OH - MXL991s
Guitar - 57
Bass - Direct via a Sansamp Bassdriver into Ampeg SVX(a seriously badass plugin for bass)
Vocals - Studio Projects B1
Gang vocals - pair of AKG C3000Bs

I used an MBox on the gang vocals and some of the harmonies/overdubs. I'm slowly switching to Pro Tools and the MBox is my first step towards learning to use the software.

All the instruments and some of the vocals were recorded in my crappy little computer room. The gang vocals/harmonies in my little tiny mix room up at the studio I'm working at.

Thanks for the comments, guys. That lead guitarist is 17. ;) He RIPS.
