Anyone got any good/bad words to say about Evolution midi controllers, specifically the mk249c whichI'm thinking of getting, based on price range and features (esp. the 12 rotary controls which are useful for plugins) ? It's five octaves, which seems reasonable to me (I'm not a keyboard player but I plan on learning to a reasonable level). Any thoughts?

Well,, I just got one last week and I have to say I'm a little bit pissed off. On the promotional stuff, I read "10 non volatile" memories. Unfortunately, I've just found out that this only refers to Program Change, MSB and LSB (I'm not even sure what these last two are for). The 249C does not save Rotary Controller Assignments. So, if you've set up a whole bunch of rotary assignments for one plug-in, you need to re-program them to set up another plug-in. You can't just recall them using the memory button. Of course, I sold my Mk-149 to buy the 249C when I should have just bought the Evolution UC-16. You live and learn I guess...
