illacov-

I am trying to give you the benefit of the doubt but you're starting to make me look sorta bad, so lets get that MP3 posted and it better sound GODHEAD. Or else I am gonna get TOTAL BOOYAH called on me by BlueBear and Chessrawk, the next time I defend a mouth-shooter-offer!

Post the MP3 here. But now we all know you re-mastered it...meaning that is was mastered already.

So now its not...doesn't need to be mastered, because it was. No it is REmastered. :o BS

. . . meanwhile, he can't even figure out how to convert something to an mp3 file and post a link to it.

Give teh guy a break. Using your ears and using your eyes are not the same thing, so even a mixing genious can overlook the fact that is says "Maximum file size 65536 bytes" by the upload button.

Or?:p

Well, let's see . . . the legend known as Thirsty began right here:

Hottsauce is sooooooo talented, you can't even hang with him. As soon as this can finally settles on a mic, look out world.

I don't have time to post Saucey's greatest hits, but you can sift through some of this mess and behold the legend of hottsauce:

I hear hyperspace might be looking for a group, too. Let's get him on the mix, while we're at it:

Holy shit Chess......you did it again.

Those are possible the funniest threads I have ever read.

Its odd though, they are so funny I can't even finish reading them. :rolleyes: :D

This look like anyone you know?

I found this on another forum - it might have some relevence:

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (American Psychiatric Association, 1994, pg. 661) describes Narcissistic Personality Disorder as a pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:

--has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements);

--is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love;

--believes that he or she is "special" and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions);

--requires excessive admiration;

--has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations;

--is interpersonally exploitive, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends;

--lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others;

--is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her;

--shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes.

:D

yup, looks like me, you, and absolutely everyone else who posts here :)

to finally answer your question : Yes I Ones Made A Mix That Sounded So Good I Thought It Didn't Need To Be Mastered.

i was wrong.

HEY BRUCE,

Please tell me I wasn’t as completely stupid, thick and long winded when I first showed up on this place, as this dope.

Reading his posts hurt my head !

Thanks for setting me straight throughout the years.

I hope I know more now, then I did before.

Not sure Sean - but I recall butting-heads a few times with ya, back then! ;)

Do you know what mastering is?

As to mastering I don't think he understands what it really is. I'm sure there have been many people that have done a great job mixing but mastering is always needed, even if it's just to sequence the song in the right order and do some level correction. Making the songs "fit" together on a CD in most cases if not all cases needs at least some EQ to help with consistency.

So I guess the answer would be yes and no. Yes I've made some good mixes but I wouldn't ever skip the mastering stage.

Hope this answers at least the main question of the thread.

ok...lets try this again in ENGLISH

A:

Since when am i the one who's wrong for making fun of a recording engineer who cant tell a sound module from a reverb unit?????

LETS FOCUS ON THAT FOR A MINUTE

A Nano SYNTH is a SOUND MODULE

For the uneducated thats a little unit that responds to midi impulses and generates sounds internally and transmits them through the outputs aka the place we put our trs etc etc plugs

a Nano VERB is a REVERB UNIT

It applys effects algorithms to the sounds that are transmitted from another sound source to its inputs and then transmitts the effected sound out

If you think that i would ever buy a NANOVERB and compare that to Waves Rverb or Trueverb you're not only a bad engineer but an absolute ASSHOLE

The nanosynth has some of the sounds off Alesis' QS6 keyboard which i used to own so i purchased it for that reason due to the sounds off the QS6 that i really liked and have missed since i sold it

B:

What do you mean i dont know how to convert to a MP3???
I compressed a wmv file to a zip file and totally missed the fact that the file was too big yes i make mistakes
As for posting it on the web

if someone can tell me how to convert somthing to an mp3 from a wmv file on a computer that wont let you install the correct version of media player im on a school computer and it has the version of media player that still had the clapper in the logo

if someone would like to tell me where i can post a zip file ill be more than glad to upload that bitch so we can all be very happy

the version i have is not the remastered one
as for the "MASTERED" version that you are all referring to
the only thing i did was eq it and it was very sparse
one of the main reasons i didnt really mess with the whole mastering process was because the limiters i used as inserts did such a good job on the overall sound quality it wasnt necessarily a big issue to boost up the overall level of the song since i didnt really lose any dynamics or punch by limiting the individual tracks

but i did want the varnish so i remixed it and tried mastering it so that i wouldnt get any pumping

you guys wont hear that version and you'll probably comment on the amount of verb thats on the main vocalists voice as well as some volumes for drums etc however thats not gonna happen till i can find a spot that accepts files other than mp3s or takes zips larger that 65 kilobytes!!

I dont have a fuckin mp3 converter on any of these computers i wish i did but i dont

so somebody tell me where to post or ill have to try to do this from my dial up which should take a good 70 years to upload.

Blah blah blah blah
you know

Peace

Well . . . seeing as how you've been saying for the past week that you were going to post something . . . and I still see nothing posted . . . I'm just putting two and two together here. So I'm sorry, but you can't exactly fault someone for assuming you're an idiot who can't figure out something very simple like converting an mp3 and posting it for download.

This isn't exactly rocket science. Someone with the kinds of mastering skills and talents as yourself should find it a piece of cake, I would assume.

im on a school computer

Why doesn't this come as a shock to me? ? ?
