As for my GEAR
My signal path is not the greatest the Behringer is most definately adding noise which is why im getting a better interface for recording namely a Edirol DA 2496 I think thats what its called
as for me saying i have the golden mix
its funny how damn near everbody ascribed their own little takes on me as a person based off one statement.
Ok so the minute a person says they think they made out alright with a mixdown and didnt use an ME you automatically assume that they are trying to rate themselves up as a genius and they have golden ears.

Unless he uses tape as part of the mastering process im not gonna shell out money to somebody thats subpar...id rather fly with my rough cut mixes if their not mastered perfectly ill live with it i can remaster the album with net from initial sales
As for how the original sounds on a clock radio
it sounds like a song on the radio..does it sound like it was made in a PROFESSIONAL studio? Yes and no
does it sound like it was commercially done
YES... do i need a nice 4000 dollar Great River pre amp OF COURSE
my only real gripe right now is noise but its a very small small gripe, which will be resolved when i get that new interface and toss my little mixer which other than the minor issue im having has done a fine job i might even just get another behringer since the newer ones are supposed to sound way better
As for my set up
I got the same sounds as most producers can ask for minus the fact i dont have access to korgs library of sounds.
However i did see the err of my ways and like i said i remastered the song after some listens in my car whilst driving to NYC for a job interview...
Part of the reason i didnt master the song or limit (sonically) it in the first place was this weird problem i had with pumping
so i just let it be in its two track form after mixdown and it still sounded ok...(part of the reason i used "SO GOOD" in my subject header was because i wanted to see if anyone was mastering without using limiting or heavy compression ...perhaps just good eqing or good old fashioned tape which does wonderful things when given some encouragement)
but thats gone now it was frequency related...basically the pumping was triggered by a rise in high mids i took care of that with simple re-leveling in cubase.
But heres the file have fun rippin it up
its been changed anyways..
btw its copyrighted blah blah blah internet piracy dadada yeah yeah i know
and sorry bout the format but im on a school computer right now...i have a dial up at my house and the school has a lan connection but no media player!! ..so its in real audio format you should be able to get by with that though i dont really think the sound quality was set too too low so its pretty fair to say this is close to the real sound quality...but not quite
Im sure ill get a response or two so im not going to make any end to this statement
