I've just purchased a Kodak Zi8 to do some video uploading, and am using the headphone jack on the DP-01FX to run a line into the Kodak's external mic jack.

The reason I'm doing this is because the Kodak won't accept a line level input (or even close) with the the headphone output less than 9 o'clock, and the input gain adjustment on the Kodak at the lowest level, it sounds pretty good, BUT it's "dry". The guitars sound good, but the vocals are too "direct" for my taste.

Is there a way to get the reverb into the headphone output?

Pardon my old school brain please:D

There is a reverb that is separate from the multieffects that is specifically for application to the main outputs (line outs and, I would assume, headphone outs also).

This is described in the manual under the section called ..."Reverb" (near the end after the "Multi Effects" section in the PDF manual I'm looking at). It looks fairly straight forward. I won't reprint the instructions here but give it a try and let us know if you can't get it to work

Thanks, it must be some kind of "addendum" to a newer version of the manual, because there's nothing about that in my manual (of course, I read through it before I posted here:))

I'll check it out...

That's the same info in my manual.....what I'm gleaning from that is they are saying that either you can use the onboard effects, or, when switched off, the "effects send" controls any outboard unit that is connected to the "send and return" jacks on the back of the unit.

I've sent a note to Tascam support to see if they can help....

Thanks for the reply...

I though you probably did. Possibly yours is an earlier model that does not have this feature.

This is the manual I'm referencing (Downloads | TASCAM). After you get to this page navigate down to "Digital Portastudios"-> "DP-01fx"
