The goals were simple - make a series of VST plugins that works, feels, looks and most importantly sounds as good as a professional hardware unit. Also, keep it simple and easy to operate. In fact, anyone who knows their way around the hardware units should be able to understand and operate these plugins, without a manual. All plugins in the "Classic Series" will be free downloads on this site as soon as they are released. Don't be fooled by the fact that they are free - they are high quality. Plugins like these normally costs a bundle.

I dloaded these programs, but when I open them it asks for the program that created it ...how do I get these to open, and can I assume they can be used with CW home studio 04...thanks

Talking about free softwares. There is a quite realible user ratings page on KVR wich is really great to guide yourself on the best that is out there

They are VST plugins, if your software supports VST plugins, just drag and drop them into your programs VST folder. Then when you go to add an effect to a track they should be there.

I don't think cakewalk programs directly support vst, but you should be able to find a freeware vst->directx wrapper program that will allow you to use them.

hate to bug you with this, but do you have a link handy and maybe a tutorial, I'm a total newb at this stuff...thanks for the replies ...

This guys stuff is KILLER and free! The compressors don't have their own GUI yet but sound amazing for the price!

Ambience is simply a killer sounding reverb. So far, it is the best plugin reverb I have heard, and is totally free!

I was using Ambience for awhile, but it was a little bit too hard on my CPU. I switched to the Kjaerhaus Classic reverb for drums.

Im Assuming these will work for ableton Live? I havnt used any plugins yet, but I know I have to.

Also, does anyone have any suggestions for mixing industrial songs to sound more in your face? I was told to compress the hell out of the low end drum sounds, but is there more I can do?

(sorry for being "ignant" lol, im new to this :) )

hahahahaha! but there's no wet/dry mix knob!

have you tried it? the effect is pretty minimal. You could also set it on a send if you want wet/dry. I was just wondering what exactly its supposed to do that you would normally do in a mix...?

I don't use cakewalk, so I can't tell you. Here's a free wrapper, though: http://www.spinaudio.com/downloads.php?download_type=3&download_id=33

Well, in the normal aux send to an aux buss configuration the wet dry mix is the aux send knob, so i wouldn't let that stop me.
