Does anyone know what type of pick-up....?

i dont think that this will help you - but i am pretty sure they used the original ones ... in those times guitar modding was not as popular as it is now (let alone there was no aftermarket) ... and modding in the 60ies was mostly applying a "paisley paint scheme" :D

I'll look it up in my "Beatles Gear" book later, but I suspect AlfredB is right.
 
I looked at a lot of pix (John Lennon) and as far as I can tell they look like stock pickups, but who knows for sure?
 
IIRC, they were the dog-ear P-90's that came stock in the Casino model...
