Also, I understand a concept that may have escaped Ochs (somewhat) and Che (until after painstakingly helping some afrikans defeat their oppressors by teaching them guerilla war strategy)...I realize that you cannot always count on the help of the oppressed...especially when they have a conservative streak in their culture that does not want to be lead by a white person, you just do what you can but you have to be leary of certain cultures, even when you're trying to help them and they should be on your side.

On a side-note, judging by the content of 90% of his posts, it's abundantly clear what the problem is. These are just guesses now, but here goes:

- pacman9000 is 17 and lives with his mom
- He's completely retarded when it comes to computers, and has very little knowledge of recording as well. Due to this retardation, he likes to try to come off as a lover of analog recording, yet nearly every thread he's started has something to do with software piracy, computer help, and being a stupid hypocritical fucker with delusions of eloquence. On top of this, every time somebody points any of this out, he immediately gets angry, spouting offensive, overly-vulgar, and often anti-semitic remarks strewn about with incoherent babble and out-of-context, poorly understood famous quotes. He's never contributed a single positive thing to this messageboard, ever.

oh yeah and I do trust myself, although not completely, It's good to be a little leary of yourself even so you can watch yourself and sometimes keep yourself in line, and there is things that I have done which I feel guilty for to this day and I don't forgive myself...which is more healthy then a catholic ideology.

You don't even need a moral reason to be opposed to piracy.

Imagine how much more money software companies would spend on development if piracy didn't exist. In this way, piracy has a harmful effect on innovation.

Piracy of Logic on the PC side may have driven Emagic to sell out to Apple. In this case Piracy may have killed Logic Windows outright, and in doing so fucked over 70,000 registered users and inconvienced many more freeloaders.

Piracy necessitates higher prices for folks that do pay. I guess this is a moral reason.

Plus by buying software, you get updates, bug fixes, customer service, etc..

however, the new Logic is way better than it was under emagic. Less bugs and silliness. Didn't screw people over. If backward compatibility were to be adhered to under all circumstances, we'd still be using ataris and amigas. I think higher prices is what fuels piracy, to be honest. Regardless of any moral standpoints there is so much software out there with astronomical prices that don't match functionality (Pro tools, anyone?)
