Hi guys, I'd like to hear your thoughts on this mix.
It has no vocals so it might sound a bit empty and it's also incomplete. I'm struggling with the last sections but wanted input on the mix so far anyways. It ends abruptly.
I am working hard on trying to get it to the 'quality' of Cradle Of Filth's Midian cd.

Thanks in advance!

I like the combination of the piano and drums at 2:50. The piano at the beginning of the song might sit more realistically in the soundstage with some tweaking of its verb. The right side guitar at 1:46 sounds a little out of sync with the drums during that section. Good guitar sounds.

Sounds pretty good. My only complaint is that the drums are rather uninteresting. I kept waiting for some really epic and powerful fills, yet there are none. You basically have a straight beat and a steady ride on the same cymbal throughout the whole song. I know that's stylistic so you might not want to hear comments like that, but I can tell that you're approaching this very seriously and I think that would really help this recording. That's the only thing I hear that is really holding it back.

Good stuff though!

Thanks for the feedback. I do need to work more on the drums, you're right.
I'll look into the things you guys have mentioned, thanks.

Very big sound on this - the keyboards add a whole other dimension of sound that definitely enhances it.

Yes the drums are a bit blah but with a little tweaking...... ;)

Overall I like the soundscape of this mix - very orchestral!

:D :) :D :)

Updated version sounds excellent.

This would sound great with some of DavidK's violin work in it.
