Yes. At least I think so...
I started out with n-track, then started using Cubasis when I got a copy with a usb control surface.
The version I had was limited to recording only 2 tracks at a time (fine, I rarely need more recording at home) and no more than 8 track, total (Big no no. 8 tracks gets crowded, FAST.)
I haven't looked into the newer version of Cubasis since I upgraded to VST 5.1 and now SX. I hope they have upped it to more than 8 tracks. Most modern computers can handle WAY more than only 8 tracks.
Anyways, Cubasis sounds fine, the plugins are good, and I really like Steinberg's interface. I find it easy to work in, mixing and automation is easy and powerful.
There are certainly better programs out there, but then you have to pay a lot more for them.
