I have had 730 visits to my home studio website in a period of 2 weeks and the comments have been incredibly positive (blush!).
I have to tell you the truth! I did not rent space per se or go to register.com to make this happen. My e-mail provider (Verizon-DSL) provides me with the tools and the web-space to create my own website. FOR FREE!! (Except for that monthly payment that I pay anyway with or without a website.)
When I was with Earthlink, they provided the same as did AOL, when I was with them. All I really needed was an idea, my trusty beat up digital camera and its rather simple software. I took photos of my studio and equipment, uploaded them into the PhotoStudio Software and then moved them into my website when the time came. The Verizon site builder program is relatively easy and provides for a lot of different options. I have received comments from this and other forums from folks wanting to create their own website.
I highly suggest you see what your Internet Service provides and use it.
If I can do it, I am quite sure you can too!
And if its FREE?
