Control Surface...your favorite with SONAR?

I've had it with mousing my faders. I've been looking around at some control surfaces. I'm looking for a nicely featured unit with sliders (not like a couple of the Behr units). It needs to fully functional with SONAR 4.

The Mackie MCU is looking pretty good right now as does the Motormate. The JL Cooper line doesn't look like it will work out but to be honest, I find their website a little difficult to follow.

I really like the jog/shuttle wheel and touch sensitive faders. I'm thinking these as must have features.

Tell me what you've got what you like and don't like about it.

I was thinking about that but now I'm gonna be one of those "double posters".
 
Hey thanks...I did see that thread during my quest for knowledge. I looked into the Behr units but not too keen on the rotary controls. I would like something that more emulates a mixing board.

I was also hoping to hear from some of the guys already using control surfaces to see what they would do differently or if there were any gotchas with some of these product. I'm real leary of software and compatability problems.

oo i like the look of the faders on that!

The berh gear is really rising to the top because of the price, under e200 for the control surfaces.
 
Ooops missed the slider verions of the Behr. Can that unit be expanded like the Mackies?
