Configuring for optimum recording

Hey Guys,

I just turned off my wallpaper and screensaver. I'm trying to eleminate things that could screw up my recordings. My question is: Is standby an alternative to screensaver? I don't want to be turning my puter on and off every time I want to use it. One other question: I'm trying to turn off Norton Antivirus but I can't find the program. Can someone direct me to the correct folder? I've used search and nothing comes up. The computer was sold to me having Norton installed so I know it's there somewhere.

Thanks. I'm running ME. I know to turn off most stuff from burning CD's, same for recording, but I'd like to eleminate programs that came with my computer that I'm not using.

The dual boot sounds interesting. I wonder if it will work with ME. I'll check it out.
