Hi,
I'm hoping that someone out there can help me with a couple of questions that I have. First of all, I'm looking to buy an additional MXL 990 Condenser Mic to record acoustic guitar and vocals simultaneously along with my other mic on Pro Tools with my Mbox 2 Minibundle. But, I have to get a Tube Mic Preamp in order to record with the second microphone. So, are the any cables or devices that I need to get in order to record with it, and are there any signal flow problems that I should expect, and how can I correct them? Does anybody have any suggestions or instructions on how I can connect the second microphone to the preamp, and the preamp to my Mbox 2 and get a good, solid, clean recording?
Secondly, I'm also looking to buy a bass pod to record bass onto my recordings on Pro Tools. Are there any suggestions or instructions that anyone has about how I can plug my bass into the pod, and then the pod into the MBox 2? Are there any signal flow issues that I should expect and how can I correct them? Can I get a good solid, clean bass recording that's not too muddy by doing this? Also, are there any cables that I need to purchase in order to do this?
If someone out there could answer my questions it would be a big help.
Also, thanks to everyone who's answered my questions in the past.
All the best,

Sounds to me like you should have bought the Mbox 2!

Yeah you'll be able to plug the output of the preamp into the input of channel 2 on the Mbox 2 Mini, there shouldn't be any issues, just keep your gain structures sensible.

I've recorded Bass using an Mbox and I've not had the need for the pod, I'll be honest.

See if you can make a decent recording going into the DI input of the Mbox 2 Mini before you spend any money, would be my advice.
