Dude, if she were my daughter, I'd say: "Do you love your daddy?"

Gidgett: "Yes, daddy, very much."

Gidge: "Do you like monsters?"

Gidgett: "No, Daddy."

Gidge: "Well, I have sort of a problem. You see, there's this monster living in your closet, and he likes to eat Daddies. There's only one thing that will stop him, and that's a device called the ultra-sonic Daddy protector. It looks sort of like this, see ?: "

"Ultrasonic Daddy Protectors also have another cool feature: they have a little candy factory in there. See those knobs? Turn the button that says "release," and all the little people in there release the candy to little girls everywhere. "

Gidgett: "Wow, Daddy!"

Gidge: "Only trouble is, Daddy can't afford it this year because he has to buy you a new Barbie."

RNC,Composer & Auto-bot-Com!!!!

RNC perf is tite!

Composer & AutoCom both provide acceptable dynamic proc'ing!

3630 is useful for contolling "hiss" introduced by drum machines
and as a wierd,bass-efx unit during comp'ing!
It's most useful aspect, when used in pairs, hold up well as matching book-ends for a set of encylopedias!!

I must apologize, as sometimes it seems I forget the dire financial situations some of us are in.

But the whole $175 and if you can swing the price thing seems like kind of an oxymoron.

Seriously, though, if some of you guys are that bad off, let me know. I might have some old shoes, Ramon noodles, and various other canned goods and non-perishable food items I might be able to send your way.

I might have some work for you, too, if you think you can clean my place up some afternoon . . . maybe install some corning 703 panels.

i know about compression a fair ammount, but I just wanted to re-confirm that RNC was the way to go.

Is the cheapest way to buy it directly from them?

Again, I'm hearing this "save for" the RNC stuff.

What the hell are you people living on? Mowing lawns for the old lady accross the street?

Sorry, Chess.... you know I often support your posts, but not this time. I'm a school teacher with top qualifications and about 6 years experience, which puts me in about the middle of the pay grid. I have a mortgage, line of credit, credit cards, and student loans that I'm paying off. Student loans are setting me back about $600/month. I have three kids, and a gas-guzzling mini-van to haul them around in.

To help make ends meet, I've started teaching guitar privately again just this year, on TOP of my 60-hour-ish work week, as our mortgage comes up for renewal in January. I suppose I COULD have saved about $700 by downloading cracks of the software I use, but I insist on going legit.

As a result, my "big purchase" this summer is a PowerPlay Pro headphone distribution amp, a couple more pairs of headphones, and some balanced cables.

When I can afford more, I'll upgrade more. $175US for me is a lot of money.

I don't think it's fair to be so smug to make those sorts of comments about the questionable sources of income that others might have.

Dammit Tondreau,

Youre not getting none of my Ramen.........

Well, go ahead and take the Shrimp flavored.....that smells like ass.....

btw,Im jealous....my big purchase was changing the strings on my guitar and bass.......

Hehe.... I hear ya. (just barely above that blasted ringin' in my ears from listenin to too much metal...;) ) I change my strings about 3x a year - mostly for that very reason!

Oh, yeah... back to the topic. FWIW, I have the Composer Pro MDX2200 and have been TOTALLY happy with it. It cost me about $150 Canadian, which is about $100 US. That was my big purchase LAST summer!
