Don't sleep either, eh? Okay thanks. I will download and see what happens. Probably be back with more questions.

LOL! Not often do I sleep. Got way too much to do. The forum gives me something to keep me occupied, while exporting tracks. I think I am just kinda willing to help also. :)

Okay. So I downloaded DensitymkIII. I found the plug-ins folder in Cubase, or at least what is called Plug-in Information under the "Devices" dropdown. How do I copy densitymkIII to the folder, assuming this is the right place? There are several tabs, one marked plug-in paths, but I could not paste the copied densitymkIII file here (or anywhere else within this plug-in information box). So what do I do? Thanks.

Oh yeah, the density download is compressed. Do I need to uncompress it for it to run? And if so, how dio I do that? Thanks again.

Yes, you will need to extract the file. Right click on the Density MKIII file. What do you see? I assume your PC has some way to 'extract' compressed files.

Extract it, and run program. If it does not have an exe file, and only a .dll, then copy the .dll file.

Go to Start>Computer>Local Disk>Program Files(x86) {if 32 bit Cubase install}>Steinberg>VSTPlugins. Paste the .dll file (DensitymkIII.dll) there. Restart Cubase.

Again, thanks. So I followed your directions and the densitymkIII is now listed in my plug-ins folder. However, prior to this, when following your instructions, I extracted the compressed file, but had no option to run it. Nonetheless densitymkIII is in the plug-ins folder. I opened a Cubase recording and hit the effects button and under the drop down density was there and opened. So I assume I am good to go. Thank you so much. Now I get to play with this for a couple hours to figure it out! Thanks!

Yep, you are good to go man.

The compressor is a bit different, in the way you work with it, but it gives really good results. Mess with the presets, and see what is capable of. Then use your ears, to tell you what it is you need, for a particular situation. This is the part that takes time. Not having numbers in your head, as to what a track needs, as far as a setup of a compressor, is a good thing IMO.

Just listen man.

Oh, hey, one more question. Are there other websites where additional plug-ins are available for download? I'm looking specifically for an envelope pedal for guitar (and a wah-wah would be cool). I didn't even know plug-ins were "out there" for download. I'll google and see what comes up. Any dangers in getting these or sites to look out for? Thx.
