Completed project photos

I finally finished my little project I started last summer, minus a few more interconnects of cable. One room recording and mixing, 12'x13'-6" interior, decoupled walls and floated floor. I still need two more bass traps for the back corner and foam on the back wall, but here is what it turned out to be.

Looks fantastic. It looks like you have a Mackie 24.8.
What desk is that you are using? Is it custom made? If so do you have plans you wouldn't mind sharing?
Also, does the bridge over the mixing console get in the way of the connections, Phantom pwr buttons, and mic/line selectors? It looks like you may have allowed enough space behind to get back there to make those adjustments id needed.

Thanks Bryan, Earworm. I've only tested drums so far, but it sounds honest. Not a lot of echo or exaggerated bass that I can tell of. Of course, I still have two more traps to order for the back and foam that is on order for the back wall, possibly a cloud above mix position to add. The sides and front wall are treated. I may fire up the guitar amps this weekend and give a little more ear testing.

I built the desk myself to house the 24.8. There is a thread from about a month and a half ago about the building. The only plans I had were impromptu scribbles for dimensions. I used 3/4" Oak plywood in 4X8 sheets, #12 wood screws, angle brackets, 1/4" lag bolts to attach the wood "dividers" to the bottom plate, and 1x12" pine for lateral stabilizers between the legs. It is sturdy, but man is it HEAVY!

I have a question. Is that rack DIY? I talking about the slanted rack to the right of the desk. I ask because it looks like a rack that I built for my joint.

It is 'Jazz' by Glidden paint company. Chose it for the shade of color, not the name , but it is a cool coincidence.
