Oh man aint that the truth? I've been building my studio for 5 1/2 years!!! Every day brings a new challange.

I've been thinking about doing something like your idea richie, problem is, my PreSonus doesnt have an "aux in".

Any other ideas...?

Yo Johnny! Yeah, the Presonus has left and right input jacks that accept TS or TRS plugs. Set it for mono and you can plug the guide tracks into one input and the talkback amp into the other. You won't hear the stereo mix on the guide tracks, but that's probably OK for tracking. Down the road, you may want to consider a headphone amp with more inputs.-Richie

I would have never thought of that...lol

Thanks a million richie...

Now I just have to find something cheap to run into the PreSonus...

Finally I dont have to scream like a maniac to be heard...

Thanks again.

Yo Johnny! Before you get carried away, make sure that both the left and right inputs are live when ith amp is set for mono. Some units disable the right input when mono is selected.-Richie

I actually use an old 2channel DJ mixer for vocalist/talkback. I route the Samson C-Control's onboard mic throught the cue out>>>>2nd channel on the vocalist's cans, then I patch in the track he/she is recording to into the 1st channel so they have fully independant control of their mix in the headphones; and I have uninterrupted recordings.

Somewhat related, somewhat not... is Samson gear any good? That stuff kinda scares me... how does that compare to Behringer?

I've never owned any Behringer stuff...all I can tell you is the control itself very clean with unnoticeable signal loss, but the buit-in headphone amp is fairly noisy.
