When's the last time the forum did a collabo and how did it work out? I'd be game to do another one if anybody would be down for it.
 
We tried it a few times…it worked out pretty good once.

I’d be down to contribute to the beat.
 
Straight. I was down to do either or, but whatever's clever.
 
My bad....I meant just a part of the beat...not the whole beat. Someone does the melody, the next person does the drums, etc.
 
I never knew how it was done. I didn't know if parts of the beat was done or the whole thing was done by one person and then each person had verses and hooks or whatever. You've done that before right Stray?
 
I was part of one the unsuccessful attempts…but that’s how they did it the first time.

We tried it…I uploaded some multi-part melodies…but it ended up falling through. I’d rather be one of the last to work on the beat this time.

We don’t have to do it that way though…I’d just like to see a collabo actually work this time.

Let's see who else is interested. We definitely need more emcees.
 
I'm thinking 3 emcees and a hookman. I might start working on a track later this week to see where it goes (if the collab actually goes down).

Yeah, that site is weird with streaming. I put the download links up..those should work fine.
 
wouldn't let me do that either. Might be because I'm using firefox and not IE.
 
I'm definitely interested. I was apart of the ones that worked out pretty good I think Its due time for another.
 
Sounds like a plan then. How long would we need? I figure if we're gonna do it, then let's make it good. How about a week for the beat to get done and another week for the vocals. Sound good?

Stray said he'd drop the beat. (Stray are you wanting to drop any vocals on it?)
Beatmakers wants to remix the final cut, which is fine by me.

id like to sing the hook, like have a hook line, and ill sing that, and you guys lay down some sweet lyrics?
 
what will the song be about cause if i join i gotta rap on a topic... not just "yo, spit some ill lyrics"
 
I hear you on that and plan to discuss that later after we can all see what we agree on. I want to have some kind of topic on the track myself.
 
id be interested in dropping a verse if i was computer literate enough to upload it.
 
I DONT SPIT but here is my 2 cents on a topic each mc do something reppin the city city they from. This would be tight as hell cuz the beat could flip for the style for each city. ( dam should have kept that idea for the remix)

or an anthem track for the hr hiphop spot

these are just suggestions
 
I'm gonna brainstorm some ideas and see what we come up with. I think city reppin' has been overdone, but if that's what ya'll wanna do then I'm down.

By tha way, I'm goin' back home to Dallas later this week, so I might not be able to record a muaphukkin' thing until I come back next week. I might (accent on might) make a beat or two while I'm down there with the laptop and the oxygen.

Oh yeah, power surges SUCK!!!!! I was chillin' in the house and just cut on the damn PS2 yesterday around 7 ish and then the whole block lost power. We didn't get the shit back for like 4 hours. Talk about PISSED!!!
