Tom...

Guitars in this version over version 1 sound more... intimate... unplugged...

Is it just me... or are those horns in the intro slightly behind?? Sounds like they need nudged forward some...

On "ever hiding (2:15)"... sounds like you're trying to stay in "chest voice"... maybe reaching a bit... I have the same problem sometimes when singing.. trying to feel the voice resonate lower than it should on high notes... the note you're reaching for there should resonate higher on the soft palate. Right now, it kinda sounds like you're yawning :) Could work in the context of the song, tho.

This mix does seem to work better... the last version did seem busy... Overall, I did like the guitar sounds better in v1... but that's because there were more of them :)

The horns are sounding better... tho they sound seriously "behind" in that intro... need lined up better, or something...

Better high-hats definitely needed (no biggie)...

Love that BGV at around 4:25... sounds like it's settled down toward the bottom of the speakers... excellente...

Horns at 4:40ish... very nice. Wicked outro! Needs cymbal crashes! Fill up da spectrum! :p :D

The horns on that beginning are playing with the snare shots which are a "behind the beat" sort of shot. When I did that part I had fits getting them right because the drum riff is the way it is. I'll take a close listen but I think they're right.

Short break:

Nope, they're exactly where I wanted them. Listen to what the snare's doing and they kick right with it. The snare is predominately on the "and' which technically makes it behind the beat there and I put the horns with the snare because when I put the horns on the beat, it clashed rhythmically with what the snare is doing.

Mmm... interesting arrangement, Lt. This, coming from another w000b that likes to screw with drum timings ;)

The horns are exactly right.

So said the Lt. Hmmmm... guess I'll just shut up for a while... seems my foot's been getting quite the workout headed up to my pie hole

Still sounds good...

You, my friend, rock.

Hey.....we're not offended....we're just right! No really............listen to the snare, I swear I'm playing right with it, (Hey.......give me another Qualude) Nope, not lagging at all. :D
