the vocal track is very distorted...
try some simple EQ of the vocal track...

if you arent using Monitors, then you may not be able to "hear" the distortion...
but it def. needs some EQ'ing

Just kidding... :D

select the vocal track (highlight)
right mouse click and select "Edit Waveform (at the top)
this will select that track only for editing.
Be aware that once edits are saved, they are permanent.
You might want ot loop duplicate the track in Multitrack view...
drag it down to an empty track....then right click and select "make a unique copy...
this will give you two tracks exactly the same...thereby you can edit one safely and still have an original for future use if need be...
If you do not make a unique copy....the effects applied will transfer to both the original and the loop....

Once the track is in Wave edit view, you can apply effects such as compression in the dynamic processing selection under Amplify

There are a lot of presets for compression here...
there are also many other effects and filters such as the graphic equalizer under filters

Ever heard the theory that digital clipping is to be avoided?

The reason this is so is because digital clipping sounds like shit... your mixes are a perfect example of that....

Not just the vocals, but the entire mix is distorted as hell....

ok ok ok I have confidence to say that i have done the basic to the most recording technique since i started recording and im sure ive done this "digital clipping" without knowing the term "digital clipping". Sorry for my english

Hottsauce, this isn't my style of music,(tryin my best) so my 2cents may be worthless to you. . . but I hear potential.

the keyboard sounds are kind of cheesy.

The vocals need a pop screen (i think, hard to tell through the distortion)

The main problem is that the distortion on the track makes this very difficult to listen to.

You got to work out your technical problems, then you're on your way to something.

Not too bad for being so new to all this.


I'm starting to think you're not a troll after all.
