Anybody actually willin' to give me real feedback/tips for how I mixed it 'n got the vocals to sit on the track?

Same as ever, bro.

Practice.

You've already got all the basics down. You're learning to use the equipment to good effect and want to learn more. I say work on the technical aspects of your craft. Nobody can tell you how to learn.

The vocals do indeed "sit" on the track. You have done a masterful job of seating the vocals. Kudos.

I think that announcing that "half of what I just said went over people's heads" is possibly insulting, especially to people who mistakenly believed that there was something of value to take away from your litany of nonsense.

You can make rhymes. The rhyming device doesn't impart artistic merit. Talent does that. You have some talent - you can string a sentence together and rhyme it according to a few different schemes. There is nothing of any literary quality to your rap. Sorry.

I mean, there's nothing "deep" about your "flows", unless "sixteenth note feel" means "deep".

You want us to believe that you are thought of as mischievous and devious, and inexplicably invoke the legend of Prometheus. Apparently you need to sell "a mil" because you have a "lot of bills". Me, I don't have that many bills, so I'm not in as dire a situation as yourself.

Meanwhile, it sounds like your tongue is trying to escape your mouth from between your front teeth. Serious. This makes you the rap equivalent of the drummer from Def Leppard. It reminds me of Sylvester the Cat. Well, maybe Sylvester the Cat wearing a ball cap at a jaunty angle.

It worked for Freddie Mercury, so who knows?

I like "Because of You" but not "Because of You", if you catch my drift - I relate to earlier comments regarding this composition.

I'm not telling you this just to bust your chops. I'm trying to say that you've got to pull some art out and get past the whole "I am rich, attractive, virile, and violent" mantra. It's like 80' butt rock without all the Aquanet.

It's all pretty good stuff, mang. Keep at it and let's hear some original compositions. You've got the physical talent and technical ability.

Surprise people!

one question:
Since you asked how the mix sounded, did you mix the music aswell as the vocals or did you just mix the vocals? like putting a vocal track over the mp3, premixed, instrumental track. If so, then you haven't really done much of a mixing either?
