Man Sabbath, I wish I had the time to do it like you do. As a musician I'm not always sure having a life is all it's cracked up to be. 
But the time you spend on it shows. That's why your songs are so good. I'll just be happy when you realize your vocals are one of your many strong suits and I can hear them better.
Crawdad.you're in. I've got esactuN and crankyone and Sabbath lined up for it so that should give us a good starting point. B. is working on some drums right now so you know it'll be stamped with his unique charm.

Listening now. I have yet to read other posts regarding this. Dude you always get huge ass guitar tones. Nice register on the tuning. I am in the wacky keys part now. Straight ahead solo that I like. Really good separation of the instruments in the mix. (Though I am most likely the worst critic on that). Two things, I use odd changes and sound FX quite a bit too. I like seeing someone else who looks at their tunes the same. The only advice I would give would be towards the Drums. Very well programmed, but I would suggest trying to add a bit more range to them. Maybe a little more thud to the kick. A super tune though. Thanks for posting for us to hear.

Fangar - thanks for the positive words... I actually played an electric drumset for 90% of this tune.. Only a small part was a drum machine.. I still have a lot to learn, but this feedback is helping in a big way.. i really liked your last tune you posted, thanks again for bothering..

So I get off work early tonight. Yeah Baby 3 weeks vacation starting tomorrow. Anyway I brought your tune up again this time with the monitors cranked. My daughter (15 months) walks in and the shit kicks in. She freaks out and starts crying. Then something happened and she started rocking out. She's a fan. Sounds great. Cracked me up.

I thought I'd return and give a more in depth comment....I like your music quite a bit.
The first 30 seconds, don't do much for me, however. The guitar sound was really lacking in comparision to your 'normal.' Additionally, the laughing sounded fake and kinda forced. Don't you have someone you can tie up and torture with a feather?? Something more authentic would do much better...so get on that bong, and tell a couple of jokes to some of those perverted women you must know...
I would almost start the song at the 'good' part...aka 0:26... or else go and change the intro guitar licks to full fidelity, etc. If you were looking for a lo-fi sound in the intro, I think you missed your mark. But...again..starting at 0:26.......
Nice riff, and your singing is effected great to fit the music. I really like your chorus's 0:50(or what ever you want to call them)....very melodic, and have that "sing along" feel to them, yet still wickedly gothic, etc....
the screams work better at 1:54...and seque decently into your very melodic bridge section. Very dark, yet musically moody. Nice ebow. This section I like the best, by far, musically. It seems to have more 'content' to it, rather than a drop tuned bashing guitar(although that sounds good too). An entire song could be composed around this music mood. I think it was a good idea to return to this music segment. I like the string sound, and you compose some nice parts for that track...some of your best writing, imo. Where the ebow is nice, a sharp, kick ass, cutting lead would really contrast nicely on top of it....maybe in addition??

mixmkr - thanks for coming back and giving me your unique brand of commentary.. As I have said before, you are one of the people who's ears I have come to rely on.. I originally did have another solo going over the EBow part, but I thought it sounded too crowded... I couldnt get it to sound proper. Maybe because my guitar solos are not really like solos..There more like vocal melodys I think.. I thought if I left some room, it would help with the imagination.. I really dont know dude.... I do thank you though... As far as the beginning, my plan was if someone heard it, the beginning is kinda low in volume, then when it kicks in, it would almost be frightening with the change in dynamics.. I am really getting priceless insight from people like you who give such detail.. I will give your music the same attention you gave me.. Thanks mix.

The more I listened to this track the more I liked it, which I guess is a good thing.
You consistently produce some of the best sounding tracks I've yet to hear with the 788. Since I'm finally getting my own 788 later this week, I can't wait to see what this puppy can do.

The parts that are a drum machine beat are from 0:28 to 0:51.. I snuk (sp?) it in there.. I used different drum sounds when I played... There is another drum machine beat from 2:57 until 3:48... The rest of the drums I played an electric kit. You can hear the difference. The reason why the sounds are different is because I'm still learning how to use the drum machine part of things. When I write a tune, I usually record the guitar to a drum machine beat (one of the presets,) and then play live on the kit to the prerecorded guitar without the D.M. I started getting lazy the day I did this and left some of the original drum beat.. I spent longer mixing it because of this.. I guess that's what I get for being lazy in the first place..
The 788 is a great recorder.. I have lost some music before due to a crash or two, but compared to people I know who record on a computer, it has been considerably less. Also, I dont even use it properly.. I skip all the b.s. and just use it like a cassette multi track.... except I abuse to the fullest extent of abuse, the virtual tracks. You should love the recorder when you get it. The newer versions are better than the one I purchased a year and a half ago.
They do offer free upgrades to a point, but you can only go so far on older versions like mine..(I think)

Ah yeah, I can hear it now. The v-drums do seem to be a lot crisper and clearer than the machine (at least to my old ears, anyway!).
I'm currently trying to decide on wheter I should go ahead and get the 788 out of layway this week, or if I should get a set of v-clubs instead. I have a couple of weeks before I have to get it out, and limited amount of $$ to spend at one time. ~sigh~

About the V-drums, you may want to consider doing what I did.. I bought the Roland TD-8 sound module by itself.. I could not afford the whole V-drumset.. Little by little I bought some pads...not V-pads either, MUCH cheaper ones.. As long as you have the decent module, you can get away with the cheaper pads.. Although the V-pads are great, the cheaper ones work just fine for me...

Yeah, I seriously considered going that route. While I know that the TD-8 has more individual outs and more editing features, I wanted to get started with a full kit of some sort, then I can add/change as needed.
Haven't really set down and played much on a real set for like 6 years, so I'm sort of wanting to get something I can at least play right away.
When you're a lefty like I am, the Drum Moles at the major chains pretty much start to freak out when they see you changing the toms and snare around to audition a set.
Anyway, I figure the TD-6 is at least passable for my needs, and I've already got a PD-9 dual pad for a snare, figuring I can add a mesh head snare later, as well as a few more v-cymbals.

I got the PD-5's for about $50 beans a piece and they work good enough.. considering there only single zone..
I hear the TD-6 is good though.. Just like I hear the TD-8 is better than the TD-10 because it came out later
