Can someone help with my setup plans???

I am looking at putting together a full studio. I want to start with something good, but scalable. I was looking at the Digidesign 888/24, Pro tools 24 MIX core, and the SCSI 64 kit. Does anybody know if there are any substitute SCSI cards that will do the job rather than the Digidesign card? What about the MIX core?

I'm trying to get this setup as soon as possible, so my main question that I need answered is:

If I purchase the 888/24, will I be able to interface that with my computer without the MIX core? I have the software already.

Em to be fair....I would look at www.prorec.com. The system you are talking about is way above what most of us here own or have experience using. Also there are a few sites out there which are specifically geared towards Pro Tools users.


So I couldn't be of more help.
